SEASONAL SKINCARE
‘Autumn and Winter’
Autumn and Winter From biting temperatures outside, to dehydrating central heating inside, our skin has a lot to contend with in the autumn and winter months. These external factors can leave the skin feeling dry, sensitive and in need of comfort, so it’s important that your skincare routine is packed full of ingredients such as glycerin, hyaluronic acid and skin barrier-protecting ceramides. The products: Start your routine with CeraVe’s Hydrating Cleanser to gently remove dirt and oil while soothing dryness and feelings of irritation. The formula, enriched with essential ceramides also help to protect the skin’s natural barrier which is essential for retaining water in the dermis. Follow this with a hydrating moisturiser such as CeraVe’s AM Facial Moisturising Lotion that contains SPF25 protection to defend the skin against UV damage, and hydrating hyaluronic acid and glycerin to lock in moisture. Finally, make CeraVe’s PM Facial Moisturising Lotion the final protective step in your night-time regime.
Spring and Summer
Warm temperatures, humidity and perspiration can completely change the needs of your skin in the spring and summer months. Where dryness and discomfort may have been your main concern in the winter, you may find that oiliness and blemishes become more of an issue as the weather warms up. If this sounds familiar, then you may want to introduce oil-controlling and exfoliating ingredients into your regime such as salicylic acid alongside hydrators such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid. Don’t forget to add in broad-spectrum protection, too – either with your moisturiser or a dedicated facial sunscreen.
The products: Take control of summer-induced oil and blemishes with CeraVe’s Foaming Cleanser. Its purifying gel texture is specifically formulated for normal to oily skin that is also prone to discomfort and imperfections. Additionally, you can tackle rough, bumpy skin on the body with CeraVe’s SA Smoothing Cleanser. Exfoliating salicylic acid helps to clear blocked hair follicles and smooth the surface of the skin, helping the skin retain skin-plumping moisture.
It’s also important to add in a lightweight non-comedogenic moisturiser to your routine too, as this will ensure your skin doesn’t become dehydrated and produce more oil to compensate. CeraVe’s AM Facial Moisturising Lotion with SPF25 is ultra-lightweight so ideal for day, while CeraVe PM Facial Moisturising Lotion helps to retain moisture and support the skin’s barrier while you sleep.
