Yes, many micellar cleansing waters can replace face washes, depending on your skin type and goals. (Of course, always check product labels to be sure you're using any skincare products as intended.) Micellar water contains mild concentrations of soap that act as microscopic bubbles floating in water. It can remove most types of makeup; however, if you're a heavy cosmetic user, you may also want to use a dedicated makeup remover. Our Hydrating Micellar Water is designed to remove even longwear makeup.
Can Micellar Water replace a face wash?
-
Always follow the specific instructions on product labels to reap all the benefits they have to offer. That said, our dual micellar cleansing water and makeup remover can be used during the day or at night—and preferably both in the a.m. and p.m.—as part of your regular skincare routine.
When should I use micellar water in my routine?
-
If you have sensitive skin, it’s always best to look for gentle products formulated specifically for that concern. But, in general, micellar waters work well with sensitive skin, since they’re typically very gentle cleansers.
What is the best micellar water for sensitive skin?
-
Depending on the formula, a micellar cleansing water can work well for dry skin due to its gentle touch, which usually doesn't over-dry skin or contain too many added chemicals. Our micellar water not only removes makeup and impurities, but it is also fragrance-free and paraben-free, and is specifically crafted to hydrate skin, making it an excellent addition to any skincare routine for dry skin.
Is micellar water good for dry skin?
While an extra moisturizer should be used on all skin types, dry skin can especially reap the thirst-quenching rewards. For skin that's normal to dry, check out our AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 or SPF 50. If your skin is dry to very dry, give our Intensive Moisturizing Cream a try. It helps provide long-lasting relief for dry, flaky, and tight skin on both the face and body, and helps retain moisture for up to 72 hours.
